Andrei Popa is a Smart Contract Security Researcher at Nethermind Security specializing in protocol and application security across the EVM, StarkNet, and Solana ecosystems. Since joining Nethermind, he has contributed to more than 70 audits spanning liquid staking, lending, stablecoins, account abstraction, cross-chain infrastructure, decentralized exchange integrations, and wallet systems.

His work includes both on-chain and off-chain security reviews, covering smart contracts, protocol logic, monitoring infrastructure, and production application environments. In addition to private audits, Andrei actively participates in public competitive security contests on platforms such as Sherlock, Code4rena, and CodeHawks.

Before transitioning into Web3 security research, Andrei spent over seven years in digital marketing and SEO, including working with blockchain infrastructure company Chainstack. His background combines analytical thinking, adversarial reasoning, and hands-on protocol review experience across multiple blockchain environments.
