Daniel Celeda, who has served as CEO, has resigned from that role and will continue as CTO, a position he has held alongside his CEO responsibilities. He will remain responsible for Nethermind’s technology and engineering organisation.
The Board believes that clearly separating the leadership of the company from responsibility for technology and engineering will better support the execution of Nethermind’s long-term strategy and give both areas the dedicated focus they require as the business continues to develop.
Alvin has been appointed for his experience across client relationships, commercial execution and company-wide delivery, and for his ability to translate strategy into clear priorities and commitments. As CEO, he will be responsible for Nethermind’s overall strategy, business performance and continued development.
Daniel will focus fully on Nethermind’s technical direction, engineering capabilities and the continued development of the technology that underpins the company’s work. The Board thanks Daniel for his contribution as CEO and for his continued leadership of Nethermind’s technology organisation.
Nethermind will continue to invest in its core engineering capabilities while building solutions that respond to the evolving needs of blockchain ecosystems, financial institutions and infrastructure providers. The company remains committed to the quality, security and technical standards that have defined its work to date.
Joe Koehler, on behalf of the Nethermind Board, said:
“Nethermind has reached a stage where leading the company and leading its technology each require dedicated focus. Alvin brings the commercial judgement, client understanding and execution discipline needed to lead the next phase of the company, while Daniel’s continued leadership as CTO gives us important continuity in technology and engineering. The Board has full confidence in both of them in their respective roles.”
The leadership transition is effective from September 14.
